Delmus and I were returning from the hay field this morning and as we were coming down his drive on the 4 wheeler we spied an uninvited guest having a mid morning snack. Last year a late freeze burned all the apple buds thus we had no apples last year. This year, we have an abundance. This means that we will have fried apple pies to go with our home made ice cream! YUM! YUM! We don't mind sharing the apples with our "deer friends"! Like we could stop them if we didn't want to share!

Colin was excited to see the deer, he is such a country boy at heart. Just today he was talking about going fishing with Uncle Kevin, he doens;t want to use a pole he just wants to reach in and grab them.
I usually invite my dear friends in for a snack...maybe you guys do it diffe-oh wait, I see the deer now. LOL Can't wait for fried apples...mmmmmm....mmmmm...does anyone know how to make the spiced apples like Juanita tho??
If not google spiced apples recipe and try one out, you may have to try more than one or mess around with the recipe a bit, more/less sugar, touch of butter or more cinnamon, but i bet you can get close.
