And the winner goes to....

So for all of you who do not hunt or are not married to a hunter: Turkey Hunting season is OVER!! Kevin took off from work for three weeks to hunt turkey. Of course, Fort Campbell opened up for Turkey Hunting a couple of weeks before Ky so Kevin headed there first. Got a couple of nice Turkey. Delicious. I saved some for when everyone comes to visit! We will have wild game day! UMMM. Anyhow, he has been getting up at 3:45 every morning. Did I mention, he has been getting up EVERY morning at 3:45?? YIKES! Stays out until 10-11-12 O'clock. Comes in, eats, and heads back out until dark. How many turkeys has he bagged here, in Kentucky, on all his acres??? Zilch, nada, none, zero! He invited Timmy from Texas to come in and hunt with him. Timmy is the nephew of Robert Horrigan. They got up each morning at 3:45, went out until 10-11-12 O'clock, came back and ate, napped, then went back out until dark. Again, nada, zilch, zero, none. They invited Timmy's father to come and hunt with them. Mark got here and they went out a couple of times with the same results. They decided they were going to use a Decoy Tom to get a Tom to come in and whoop it! It was hilarious watching these three men get a Tom Decoy ready to place in a field. For 20 minutes they got the height just right, and the fan just right, and they declared they were not coming back with out a turkey and they left, at 2:00, on the final day of Turkey Season. Around 7:30, the might hunters returned; without dignity or pride! So for this year, we will have to call it to the turkeys!! May they live another year to get longer beards and spurs!
