I went out side this morning to find Cheetah cat very lethargic, tongue hanging out, and eyes rolled back in hi head. His leg had been tore open by some other animal. And he has lost alot of muscle and weight: Poor baby! I say to him and touch his head; no reaction :(

I went and told Kevin that there was something wrong with Cheetah and to come up to the porch and see for himself! He said he was not spending ONE dime on that cat. He came up and said, yep, he has a nasty infection. Bully Bull had a nasty infection and got a shot sooooo. I asked my loving husband to give him a shot. I brought him the bottle and then we read directions: For a weight of 1500 lbs give 25CC. Crap! I knew I would need math again! Hummm. We figure it down to 100 Pounds needs 4.7cc so 25 lbs needs 1.17CC so Cheetah, weighing about 15-17 pounds, needs 1/4 of a CC. They got it all out and then measured oh so carefully. Then they jam it in his leg with no warning. But that's OK because he couldn't even muster up a hiss. Now he tells me, "If it doesn't Kill him, it will definitely cure him! MEN! BUT, as you can see from the picture, Cheetah is slowly coming around. He moved enough to poop and eat. SUCCESS

For Colin

Colin,

Since we last spoke on the phone, I took your advise and took a picture of the Deer that Uncle Kevin got last year with his Bow and Arrow. It should be hanging on a wall down in the basement along with a turkey. Uncle Kevin has a surprise fore you when you get here, besides your very own bow and arrow. You will just have to guess what it could be. No, it is not a lucky rabbit's foot! Cant wait to see you in July!

Weekend Project

I spent last weekend transplanting some of my plants from the little white house to their new home here.
I transplanted a catmint plant that I have had for about 6 years. I bought it for Kitten. I also transplated an Everliving Plant that Juanita broght to me, from her garden, after mom died in 2000. And a couple of Hostas and some Peonies from Kevin's cousin house.
I'd been working all afternoon and Kitten and Bob were out and about, mostly spying on the finches. I finished the planting and then mulching, and I left to put all my tools up. When I got back to admire all my hard work, I found that Kitten had found his long lost Catmint and figured that was his new summer hang out and made his self right at home.

And the winner goes to....

So for all of you who do not hunt or are not married to a hunter: Turkey Hunting season is OVER!! Kevin took off from work for three weeks to hunt turkey. Of course, Fort Campbell opened up for Turkey Hunting a couple of weeks before Ky so Kevin headed there first. Got a couple of nice Turkey. Delicious. I saved some for when everyone comes to visit! We will have wild game day! UMMM. Anyhow, he has been getting up at 3:45 every morning. Did I mention, he has been getting up EVERY morning at 3:45?? YIKES! Stays out until 10-11-12 O'clock. Comes in, eats, and heads back out until dark. How many turkeys has he bagged here, in Kentucky, on all his acres??? Zilch, nada, none, zero! He invited Timmy from Texas to come in and hunt with him. Timmy is the nephew of Robert Horrigan. They got up each morning at 3:45, went out until 10-11-12 O'clock, came back and ate, napped, then went back out until dark. Again, nada, zilch, zero, none. They invited Timmy's father to come and hunt with them. Mark got here and they went out a couple of times with the same results. They decided they were going to use a Decoy Tom to get a Tom to come in and whoop it! It was hilarious watching these three men get a Tom Decoy ready to place in a field. For 20 minutes they got the height just right, and the fan just right, and they declared they were not coming back with out a turkey and they left, at 2:00, on the final day of Turkey Season. Around 7:30, the might hunters returned; without dignity or pride! So for this year, we will have to call it to the turkeys!! May they live another year to get longer beards and spurs!
